I started in mechanical engineering—a B.S. from West Virginia University on the robotics track—then spent the last seven years as a software engineer and analyst inside Steel Dynamics, a Fortune 500 steel producer. I build and maintain the C# systems that run Flat Roll operations: WPF/Prism desktop applications, WebAPI services, Entity Framework data access, SQL Server back ends, and the SSRS reporting that the business runs on.

All of it ships under Sarbanes-Oxley audit controls, through disciplined change management—Git, TeamCity, Cake, and MSBuild—with the traceability and environment segregation that regulated enterprises require. That rigor isn't a checkbox; it's how I work.

The mechanical background isn't a footnote. It means I understand the systems software is actually controlling—production lines, quality data, real equipment—not just the abstraction on screen. ByteCraft exists to bring that combination of engineering rigor and domain fluency to teams that need production-grade software they can trust for years.
